December 6th - BOWEN

I am writing this over a month late but figured better late than never:-) After climbing into bed at 10:00 Wednesday night to read, things started to take shape. In the span of 4 hours I went from water breaking (slowly) and some painless contractions to baby in arms! Amazing.
Bowen was born at 3:38 am weighing in at 6 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long. He was SUCH a peanut! My labor was fast but my body handled it really well and recovery was once again quite easy- so thankful for that!

Post Postpartum Fitness

Somehow the last month got away from me (shocking) so no daily logs. I started "moving" (light weights in the basement) 4 days postpartum and have gradually built back up. I am still not running but have worked out every day and am feeling great. I am taking it VERY slowly in the running department so as not to re-visit the issues I had after Declan was born.
Weeks 1 and 2 postpartum were strictly easy sessions in the basement (squats, lunges, upper body dumbbell work, planks etc.)
Weeks 3 - back to the gym and felt great. elliptical, strength training etc.
Week 4 - continued the gym workouts and added back in spinning at FlyWheel. It felt so good to go all out for an hour. It's been a long time since I have pushed that hard:-)
